I saw the movie Tomorrow When The World Began last night and it actually reminded me a lot of our characters and their soon to be attempted war against the Fascility.
The books and movie are pretty well known now but if like me, you were a bit behind on discovering the movie it's basically about a group of friends who decide to go on a camping trip to a place called "Hell" in New South Wales. If you are ever bored then google image the Blue Mountains of NSW, they are absolutely stunning! such a magical looking place.
Anyway while they are there a bunch of military planes fly over their campsite one night and they dont really think much of it. They get back to town soon enough and see that the town is completely abandoned with no power... or INTERNET D: Nooooooo!
They find out that most of the town are being held captive at some show grounds by asian soldiers. There's also a bit where a RAAF jet is being persued by two enemy planes and gets shot down which totally made me think of how Haddy's aircraft was being chased.
They hear a radio transmission at one point which informs then that Australia has been invaded by "The Coalition Nations" from nearby Asia, who believe that they have a right to the country's vast natural resources and wealth in order to sustain their growing populations. The transmission also states that one of the three main ports being used to deposit soldiers into the country is near a place called Cobbler's Bay, the only exit from which is a big bridge, which the friends then make plans to destroy.
So basically without giving too much away two of the girls steal a petrol tanker and park it near the bridge. The others scare a group of cattle which both gets them out of the way of the explosion which was about to happen and scare off some soldiers who were coming after them. They then explode the tank which makes the bridge go BOOM and they all make their escape.
They return to "Hell" and stay there while they plan their guerilla war. Totally sounds like our gang It's cool cause there's only about 7 or so kids, so a small number and yet they're still planning on trying to kick some serious asian butts!
Sounds like our characters doesnt it?
Idk there's just certain bits that give a bit of muse... electrical fires would be handy as water obviously wont put them out. There's a bit in the movie too where they're chased into the backyard of a house and one of the girls uses one of the guys singlet, soaks it on fuel and sets it alight. Then she tosses it at a ride-on lawn mower which creates an explosion and blows dem muthaphukaz up!
Long story short, its a cool movie!
