PERSONALITY
*Description: Candy is still trying to figure out her own personality.
The blue girl, Candy is often described as “mysterious”, especially since much of her backstory is yet to be revealed. But she is a friendly young woman who due to her love of unique hair and make-up styles, nature, clothes and upbeat personality, she has often been perceived as something like a gothic hippie. She is the sort of person who’d bring allot of flavor into a persons life, where it didn’t exist before. She’s not as intense as some of the other people. She’s that person you want in the trenches with you who can take lemons and make lemonade.
This girl, Candy, is old fashioned in many ways. She is old fashioned with the thoughts of romance, knowing that ladies are not supposed to make the first move and that guys should definately open the door for any girl. She is classically trained for piano and the violin and has been for as long as she can remember, which isn't saying much considering she cannot remember a whole lot about herself. She thinks herself to be classy, but a wry classy lady. She knows that others wont always view her in the light, but did she truly care?
'Dreamer' might not seem like the best word to describe Candy, but alas, it is. Though she doubts others, she hopes they will not give her more reason to doubt. Along with being a dreamer she also is a hopeless romantic to some extent. Despite being strong, wry, and a bit cynical, she wishes to be swept off her feet in every day situations. She loves taking small things and writing about them in big ways. She would take a couple walking down the street and make a story about them, just because they looked odd together but so happy.
Over all Candy believes whole-heartedly in herself and wont go back on any promises she had made before. She knows what it takes to be a friend, and to keep one, and that is why she does not have all that many. Candy will give you the shirt off her back as long as you ask for it, and don't disrespect her.
We have someone who can walk through fire, well, not literally - but who can really, really show what they’re made of, repeatedly, and get up again and do the tough stuff day after day. She has already changed her life several times, mainly because while she might say it’s because she doesn’t want to be bored, it’s also because she doesn’t always have things work out for her.

*History: Candy can remember nothing about her life up until about a year ago, save for flashes of images which she isn't certain are something she has forgotten or if they are just something else completely.
Candy has come to be, in many senses, but not all, dead. She can remember opening her eyes to a sterile environment, laid out in a hospital bed, and covered with tubes. The first time she went to get changed out of the patient gown she woke up in, she was shocked to discover a large surgical scar, similar to an autopsy "Y" staple which extended from the front of each shoulder to the bottom end of the breastbone. The tail of the Y extends from the sternum to her pubic bone. Originally, she had thought that it was as if she just rose on the slab in a morgue or something, like she was dead, and still was. Only she woke up.
It was later explained to her that she had been a voluntary participant in Human subject research at a secret compound. Faulty parts of her brain had been removed, then replaced by electronic chips, in an astonishing and controversial breakthrough in science. What that means is that the chips replaced damaged or malfunctioning tissue that perform the same function.
They asked her to imagine there's a small area in the brain that is malfunctioning, and imagine that they understood the architecture of this damaged area. They are trying to replicate that part of the brain with electronics. In essence, she now has a robo-cerebellum which mimics natural neuronal activity. It now assists Candy in receiving, interpreting, and transmiting sensory information from the brain stem, facilitating communication between the brain and the body.
Candy's right eye had been removed, replaced by a prosthetic eye which creates wireless signals --the sort of signal a television uses-- which works in sync with a miniature video camera and a battery, attached to a printed circuit board. Luckily, this abnormality is not noticable as the right eye looks identical to her left.
Candy's right leg had been amputated below the knee, and replaced with a prosthesis made of steel and blue plastic. It has a surprising degree of dexterity: Enough to propell her forward and varying its stiffness over terrains, mimicking a real biological ankle. With this, Candy is able move with a more natural gait than say if she wore a more passive-elastic prosthesis.
Surprisingly, she does not mind this. She wont lie, not having a leg is a great conversation starter, with her favourite line being, "Ill give you three guesses as to why I have a limp, if you get it wrong you can buy me a drink and let me flirt with you for a while."
As well as this, she inquired as to what the deal was with her "autopsy scar". One of her lungs was replaced by synthetic tissues very similar to the make-up of real organs and function in the same way, and the same goes for her stomach, and her heart. As a result of this, she does not need to eat – it also means that she doesn't even have stomach acid, so digestion is out of the question. Normally, her body rejects food about an hour or two after eating. So running several blocks after just eating is a no go. The only reason she eats is to enjoy the taste and texture of the food.
Six months ago she was released from this compound, and found herself in the city of Hobart, Tasmania. So far life has been fair to her: she scored a casual job working at a local bar collecting glasses which helps her keep up to date with rent. She lives simply so really only owns a few sets of clothing. Most of what she saves gets spent on things such as make-up, pens, notepads and an occasional burger. The rest of her time is spent either studying at the local highschool, or just making her way around the city, travelling by bus and bike, taking photos of different places, or people she meets.
