Port Arthur
Port Arthur is a small town and former convict settlement, roughly 60 km south east of Hobart. It is one of Australia's most significant heritage areas and the open air museum is officially Tasmania's top tourist attraction. In 1996 it was the scene of the worst mass murder event in post-colonial Australian history, so naturally, in thanks to it's gory history, you shouldn't be too surprised if you heard whispers about a compound situated deep under the Island, connected to tunnels underwater. Unbeknownst to the public, this facility has enough space to hold hundreds of patients and even more staff. It is a cold, sterile environment where medical tests are carried out almost like torture. This place is also known as hell, to those who survived it.
